The Pantheon is the mot preserved monument of Ancient Rome. It was originally commissioned by Marcus Agrippa in the reign of Augustus, rebuilt by Emperor Hadrian in 126 AD, and served as a temple to the Gods and a burial ground for several important kings. Since 609 AD it has been a Catholic Church, and the final resting place of Raphael.
